One of the amazing things about Marketplace is the depth of imagery you’ll see. I looked at thousands of Kathy Hutchins’ photographs of celebrities big and small. Traipsing through the gems are scores of surprising photos of stars’ shoe-clad feet - as delicate, or not-so-delicate, as the stars themselves. What a presentation they would make.

These photographs by 3-time expedition photographer Lou Sapienza became an integral and vital part of the History Channels 90-minute presentation, “The Hunt for the Lost Squadron.” Lou’s photographs were also instrumental in the Hyperion Press book publication, “The Lost Squadron.".

Being a huge fan of museums of any shape or form I loved seeing Susana Paiva's unique take on some of the museum's along London's Exhibition Road.

Robert Leslie is photographing the Cannes Film Festival (May 16th-27th) and I have to say I am checking for new images daily as I am so fascinated by the images he is submitting. Many of them tell multiple stories in the same frame and all of them make me wish that I was there standing next to him seeing what he is seeing.
Check here frequently while the festival is running as he is adding new images almost every day.

When I was in college one of my photography professors played the song “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” to help teach us about the power of repetition in art.
This image could have also been used in his lesson and speaks to why this image was chosen as one of 50 finalists in the May 2007 International Center for Fine Art Photography's "Interactions" competition.
Great shot Darlene and 'good luck' with the competition

I was reading Tim Gunn's new book A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style loved how he described Catherine Deneuve's style so I had to check out her fashion first hand on Marketplace. These two images are among my favorite images of her in Marketplace and SO make me want to go to Paris and do some shopping.
