Rick Smolan Talks About Digital Railroad

Rick Smolan is a former Time, Life and National Geographic photographer and he co-founded the best-selling "Day in the Life..." photography series. Smolan and his partner Jennifer Erwitt are also the co-founders of Against All Odds Productions, which specializes in the design and execution of large-scale global projects that combine compelling storytelling with state-of-the-art technology.

"Every once in a while, an idea comes along, and you are stunned that no one came up with it sooner. Digital Railroad levels the playing field and enables talented photographers to get their work seen by picture buyers and -- more importantly -- purchased. Once a picture buyer discovers how easy and useful Digital Railroad is, they'll be back for more. Instead of expecting picture buyers around the world to learn how to navigate hundreds of different systems, Digital Railroad offers them an easy-to-use interface. Once they've used the system once to find an image, they will easily be able to search hundreds of other photographers’ images with no additional time needed to understand how the system works. This is what every shooter has been waiting for."
